Casino Royale: Bond is back

In what must be my first non-animated, non-kid's movie in a year, I ventured out tonight to see the new James Bond film, Casino Royale. After years of over produced, overacted, corn-ball scripted movies, we finally have a winner. The new Bond is grittier, edgier and the best Bond since Sean Connery. The film includes some great action scenes that don't rely on the gadgets of old. Actual running and jumping, kicking and punching ... invisible, submersible, oil slicking, seat ejecting, missile firing cars were left out of this production.

The movie is not perfect. It goes on a bit long and the story gets a bit confused at the end. But if you enjoy action and with journeyman acting, it's definitely worth seeing.
