Fireplace
Suzy always wanted a fireplace with a mantel.
1. Suzy calls me at work to inform me that she took the hammer to the fireplace, removing the center strip of drywall and brick arch. Contractors start building a box seat.
2. Contractors convince us to let them build a custom mantel. The mantel is built way too high. It's UGLY. Yikes! This is not going good.
3. Rip out all previous mantel work. Start with the marble.
4. Cover all four sides with drywall (happening today). Prebuilt mantel chosen.
