T.r.o.u.b.l.e.

Vincent is trouble. He was outside tonight when Katherine called him for dinner. A minute later, the doorbell rings. Opening the door, Katherine is drenched with water as Vincent, laughing, opens up the hose on her. Soaked from head to toe, she grabs the hose and sprays him back.

Not even 3 years old and already a prankster. We're in for trouble.

New Phone

B0006853TY.01._PE67_SCMZZZZZZZ_.jpg After a week of scouring the internet for phone reviews, I've finally settled on the Nokia 6230. The problem was that for every phone I found, I could find a review that claimed "this is the worst phone ever built." At least on Amazon, people seem happy with this phone that can take photos, short videos and even includes a radio tuner and mp3 player. Don't think this will be replacing my iPod any time soon, but if I can get all the moving parts meshing, you may see a photo or two posted from the road.

Oh yeah. buying this phone from Amazon rather than Cingular was a deal. Not so much buying as being paid $50.00 for choosing it.

End of an Era

After 8 1/2 years at my current job, I've given my resignation. No more telecom/networking software companies for me. I'm moving to a more secure organization. Make that a security organization. Make that a market leading software security organization. Yes, my commute is now 50 feet closer to home. Not much closer, but closer nonetheless.

My last day is Friday. After the weekend, I immediately start at Symantec. You know, the Norton Anti-Virus people. Talk about a growth industry. Especially if you're on a Windows computer.

Lots to learn, lots to learn.

Delivery Room Blogging

Dom, a friend from work, and his wife Sophie are having a baby. Right now. Dom's blogging by cell phone. I was wondering what he was up to last week when he showed me how he could send an email from his cell phone to update his web site. Now I know.

Still waiting for baby Hugo.

iBook Disaster Avoided

Not paying attention, I knocked over a glass of water on top of the iBook. Took off the keyboard and dried it out. Turned it upside down and water came out of the speaker. Left it open to dry last night. Works today. Good thing laptops are so small. Not many holes or much room for the water to go.

Commute Problem Solved

No worries about commuting down the 405 when you can fly in one of these things.

The Pope

Daddy: Katherine, do you know who the pope is?

Katherine: Yeah daddy, he's the leader of the church and he died. Once he got shot by a man that had no love in his heart. The pope was able to forgive him.
