Fall Photos

IMG_6155_001.thumb.jpg Thanks to the convenience of iPhotoToGallery, I've posted an assortment of photos from the last few months. In the image to the left, Vincent (a.k.a. Naked Boy), quietly wandered away to give himself a bath. When you have kids in the house, you know one of them is getting into trouble when all goes quiet. Check out the Photo Gallery for more.

Katherine and Commercials

While watching football, I've been having Katherine (age 5 1/2 ) tell me what she thinks the commercials are selling. She's pretty good at it, guessing most of the beer, car and insurance commercials. During the Steelers / Jets game, I asked her what the [Levitra | http://www.levitra.com/] (erectile dysfunction) spot was trying to sell. She answered %love%. Effective ad, isn't it.

No Charger, No Pictures

I haven't been able to find the battery charger for the digital camera. Between Vincent playing with everything and Suzy organizing, it's hard to find anything.

After weeks of rain, Southern California weather is back. There's chill in the air and it's windy, but the skies are blue and the sun is shinning. So nice, in fact, we're playing outside again. Vincent, aka "naked boy", just took off all his clothes and is streaking out in the backyard.

Katherine's soccer (and my coaching) ended last month. I didn't always know what I was doing, but the kids had fun and so did I.

Since soccer is over, we found Katherine a few more activities. She started chess club and a pottery class this week. Both where her ideas. I was unsure she'd want to continue with chess after the first class, but she had fun and wants to continue.

I took today (Friday) off. Because of all the storms, a lot of the highways around Malibu and Hollywood were closed. Everybody is on the 405 and 101 now. This whole week, it was taking me close to 2 hours to get in to work (best time 25 min, normally 50 min). When are they going to invent jet cars?

Had to hold down Vince today for a haircut at the barbers. Wasn't easy, so I tipped big. The results are worth it.

We ordered mirrored closet doors for the kids' rooms from Home Depot. Whoever put in the order, entered the wrong dimensions. The doors are 2 inches too short. Home Depot said they'd order us new doors, no charge. No hassles.

Sun is out, I'm at home so the Christmas lights must come down.

New Year Thought

Talk about thoughtful, Vince is one sweet kid. Fried up 8 breakfast sausage the other day, 2 for each. Well, Vince took three, Katherine took three so I took the last 2, as Suzy was still upstairs. I sit down and Vince starts screaming at me. Takes me a second, then I realize he's saying, "No, that's mommy's sausage!" Pretty considerdate for a 2 1/2 year old. Remember, children teach as much as they're taught. Happy New Year!
