Vincent shaved his head and raised a lot of money to support pediatric cancer research. Pancake breakfast at the fire station afterwards too. Nice event. Help him raise even more money by donating here: http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/participantid/451405

Maybe next year, I'll have to shave my head.

While the jersey is as long as Vince, it didn't stop him playing three quarters in a shutout game. Have to wash the uniform cause there's one more game tomorrow.

First photo taken with iPhone4 HDR ... notice the blurring of the letters on the jersey.

Lunch at Riverside

Fort Macon, North Carolina. The design of the fort is similar in size and shape to Fort Sumpter, South Carolina... only that Ft. Macon wasn't completely leveled. And you can drive there (no ferry required). The displays are much better, too. Not as historically significant, but it's definitely worth a visit.

On the beach at Fort Macon, the sign advises, "No Swimming, No Surfing, No Wading."

I put my feet in the water. Does that count as wading? The water was fine and I lived to tell the tale.

The water is an extra shade of beautiful here in Beaufort, a city on the "Crystal Coast", North Carolina.

Katherine turned 11 yesterday. Last year, she was on an airplane home (flight delayed due to weather). With better planning this year, we are halfway through our vacation in North Carolina, and we celebrated with friends and family. Did get quite a storm, though. California does not see lightening this intense.

Forgot what Vincent did, but he wasn't happy getting lectured from his mom here.
